- Engaging in real-world legal work which includes research and writing, client contact, and document preparation (such as pleadings, discovery, and transactional documents).
- Participating in community engagement activities, including education, outreach, and partnership meetings.
- Working closely with supervisors and having the opportunity to connect with other advocates within the organization for guidance and support.
- Attending a Summer Lunch Series to learn about the breadth of opportunities within the organization through casual and candid lunchtime video conferences.
- Engaging in various social events to foster a supportive and informative environment.
Education and Experience Information:
- Open to undergraduate students, recent graduates, and law students.
- Preferably seeking candidates with Spanish fluency, especially for placements in border areas or with the Immigration Team.
- Expressed interest in rural or border placements is desirable.
- A strong commitment to public interest work is essential.
Salary Information:
- Limited funding available for students placed in rural or border offices. Candidates can apply to be considered for this funding.
